The reasons to stop smokingThere are a great many reasons that people give for wanting to stop smoking...
But the simple truth is that none of these reasons is a good enough incentive for them to stop, and most people who stop smoking for these reasons will go back to smoking, saying that their 'willpower' let them down. Put simply, it's not the 'willpower' that's lacking, it's a good enough reason to stop smoking that is missing. An extremely common example of someone who does have enough incentive, would be a woman who smokes, who then find that she is pregnant... and maybe when she sees her first 'scan'. A large number of women in this situation will immediately stop smoking, without any effort, without any withdrawal symptoms, and without feeling deprived. The simple reason for this is that seeing her first ultrasound scan has given her a tangible reason to stop smoking. So she stops smoking without even trying!
